Cookies Notice
Last updated: May 2026
This Cookies Notice explains how Palette Daddy (operated by LJK Creative LLC) uses cookies and similar technologies on palettedaddy.com (the "Service"). Read it alongside our Privacy Policy.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They're widely used to make websites work, work more efficiently, or report information to the site owner. Similar technologies include local storage, session storage, pixels, web beacons, and SDKs — we use the term "cookies" in this notice to refer to all of them.
Cookies can be first-party (set by us) or third-party (set by another company we work with, such as an analytics or advertising provider). They can also be session cookies (deleted when you close your browser) or persistent cookies (kept until they expire or you delete them).
Categories we use
We group the cookies we use into three categories. You can accept or decline each non-essential category through our cookie consent banner the first time you visit, and you can change your preferences at any time by clicking "Cookie Preferences" in the footer.
Strictly necessary
These are required for the Service to function and cannot be turned off. They are set in response to actions you take, such as setting your theme preference or navigating the site.
- theme — first-party cookie that remembers your light/dark theme preference so the right theme renders on first paint. Expires after 1 year.
- Session cookies set by our hosting provider (Vercel) — used for routing and security. Expire when your browser session ends.
We also use your browser's local storage to remember your color, palette state, and other preferences. Local storage is not technically a cookie but serves a similar purpose. None of this data is transmitted off your device by us.
Analytics (optional)
Used to understand how visitors interact with the Service so we can improve it. These cookies are loaded only after you opt in via the consent banner.
- _ga, _ga_*, _gid (Google Analytics 4) — distinguishes unique visitors and measures session activity. Expires after up to 2 years.
Advertising (optional)
Used by us and the platforms we advertise on to measure the performance of our ads and to show you relevant ads on other sites. These cookies are loaded only after you opt in via the consent banner. Loading them involves sharing data with Meta and Google, which counts as "sharing" under California law (CCPA/CPRA).
- _fbp / Meta Pixel (Meta) — conversion tracking and audience matching. Expires after up to 90 days.
- Google Ads conversion tracking (Google) — conversion tracking and remarketing. Expires after up to 90 days.
Your choices
- Cookie banner. When you first visit, you'll see a banner letting you accept all cookies, reject non-essential cookies, or manage preferences by category. You can revisit your choice anytime via "Cookie Preferences" in the footer.
- Withdraw consent. You can withdraw your consent at any time by re-opening the banner via "Cookie Preferences," declining categories, and saving. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of any processing that occurred before withdrawal.
- Browser settings. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies. Disabling strictly necessary cookies may break parts of the Service.
- Global Privacy Control (GPC).We honor GPC signals from supported browsers. When GPC is on, we treat your visit as an opt-out of analytics, advertising, and the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information under California law.
- Do Not Track (DNT). Most browsers no longer actively support DNT, and there is no industry consensus on how to interpret the signal. We do not respond to DNT, but we honor GPC (which is the modern equivalent) and our cookie banner controls.
- Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information. Use the link in our footer to opt out at any time.
- Industry opt-outs. You can opt out of interest-based advertising from many companies via the Digital Advertising Alliance and the Network Advertising Initiative.
Local storage
Beyond cookies, the Service uses your browser's local storage to remember:
- Your selected color, palette state, anchor step, and algorithm
- Locked harmony slots
- Whether you've dismissed certain UI hints
This data stays on your device. You can clear it at any time from your browser's site settings.
International data transfers
Some of the cookie providers listed above (Google, Meta, Vercel) are based in the United States and may process cookie-derived data outside your country of residence. For visitors from the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, we and the providers rely on appropriate safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) for these transfers. See our Privacy Policy for details.
